Does the person receiving need an app or account?
No. For a share link they just open it in any browser — Chrome, Safari, whatever they have — and download. No app, no sign-up on their side. Installing BIShare only helps if you want faster nearby transfers.
How long does the download link stay active?
Every link auto-expires 24 hours after you create it, then the file is gone. That keeps big files from sitting around on the internet, and it means you never have to remember to delete anything yourself.
Is it safe to send large files this way?
Nearby transfers are end-to-end encrypted and never touch a server. Browser links are served over HTTPS and expire in 24 hours. Either way, we never ask for your name, email, or an account just to send a file.
