Large file transfer

Send large files, free

Email attachments bounce back, and the popular upload sites cap their free tier at 2 GB. BIShare sends big files without the ceiling: up to 100 GB through a browser link the other person opens with no app and no sign-up — or unlimited size when you're nearby, straight over your own Wi-Fi. The link expires on its own in 24 hours.

Why sending big files is such a pain

Email chokes on anything past about 25 MB, and the popular upload sites lock their free tier at 2 GB, throttle the speed, then wall the download behind ads. BIShare takes a different route: on the same Wi-Fi your files go straight from one device to the other, with no size cap and nothing parked on a server. Not in the same room? You still get a clean 100 GB browser link that needs no account on either end.

Two ways to send, both free

  • On the same Wi-Fi

Pick the other device and send. Your files travel directly between the two, end-to-end encrypted, with no size limit and nothing stored in the cloud. No router? A phone hotspot works too — you don't even need internet.

  • When you're apart

You get a share link, a QR code, and a 6-character code. The recipient opens the link in any browser and downloads — up to 100 GB, no app, no sign-up. The link auto-expires after 24 hours, so nothing lingers online.

  • Every platform

iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux — one app, any direction. Push a folder of raw video from your laptop, grab it on your phone, or hand it to someone who's never heard of BIShare.

Sending large files free: FAQ

How do I send large files for free?

Two ways with BIShare, both free and account-free. On the same Wi-Fi, pick the other device and the file goes straight across, with no size limit. When you're not together, you get a link the recipient opens in any browser to download — up to 100 GB per transfer.

What's the maximum file size I can send?

Over your own Wi-Fi, device to device, there's no cap — send a 50 GB video project if you like. Through a browser share link the limit is 100 GB per transfer, free, with no account. You can send more files back to back.

Does the person receiving need an app or account?

No. For a share link they just open it in any browser — Chrome, Safari, whatever they have — and download. No app, no sign-up on their side. Installing BIShare only helps if you want faster nearby transfers.

How long does the download link stay active?

Every link auto-expires 24 hours after you create it, then the file is gone. That keeps big files from sitting around on the internet, and it means you never have to remember to delete anything yourself.

Is it safe to send large files this way?

Nearby transfers are end-to-end encrypted and never touch a server. Browser links are served over HTTPS and expire in 24 hours. Either way, we never ask for your name, email, or an account just to send a file.
